Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan selama satu bulan (dari 21 November hingga 20 Desember 2016) dengan tujuan untuk menggambarkan teknik budidaya varietas tembakau Rudau Teleng dan untuk menganalisis pendapatan dan keuntungan yang diterima oleh petani di lokasi penelitian. Data untuk penelitian ini kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian menemukan bahwa teknik budidaya tembakau di lokasi penelitian tidak sesuai dengan literatur yang ada. Ditemukan bahwa pendapatan pertanian adalah Rp 15.194.654,22 / lahan atau setara dengan Rp 92.864.454,47 / Ha. Sementara itu, keuntungan yang diperoleh petani adalah Rp 9.383.065,84 / lahan atau setara dengan Rp 57.458.553,94 / Ha. Sedangkan R / C rasio usahatani adalah 2,62 yang berarti investasi Rp 1, - akan memberikan pendapatan Rp 2,62 dan untung Rp 1,62. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, petani harus lebih memperhatikan teknik budidaya tembakau, karena teknik budidaya yang baik akan mempengaruhi kualitas dan kuantitas produksi tembakau. Selain itu, departemen pertanian harus memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan bagi petani tembakau untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan petani.

This research  was conducted for one months (from 21 November until 20 December 2016) with the aims to describe the cultivation techniques of Rudau Teleng variety of tobacco and to analyze revenues and profits received by the farmers in the research site. The data for this study then were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The research finds that the cultivation technique of the tobacco in the research site was not in accordance with the existing literature. It is found that revenue of the farming was Rp 15.194.654,22/land area or equal to Rp 92.864.454,47/Ha. Meanwhile  profit earned by the farmers was Rp 9.383.065,84/land area or equal to Rp 57.458.553,94/Ha. While R/C ratio of the farming was 2,62 which means investation of Rp 1,- will given revenue of Rp 2,62 and profit of Rp 1,62. Based on the findings, the farmers should pay more attention to cultivation technique of the tobacco, due to the good cultivation techniques will affect the quality and quantity of tobacco production. Additionally the department of agriculture should provide training and mentoring for tobacco farmers in order to improve the knowledge of farmers.
