Abstract

Petani dalam melakukan suatu kegiatan berusahatani haruslah bekerja secara efisien dan penuh persiapan agar hasil usahatani yang mereka usahakan dapat mendatangkan keuntungan. Tujuan diadakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kultur teknis dan permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam usahatani bawang daun di Kota Padang Panjang dan menganalisis besarnya pendapatan dan keuntungan dari usahatani bawang daun di Kota Padang Panjang. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif melalui tingkat pendapatan, keuntungan, analisa R/C selama satu kali musim tanam. Hasil analisis usahatani bawang daun yang dilakukan oleh petani sampel didapatkan bahwa biaya yang paling banyak dikeluarkan oleh petani yaitu biaya pembelian mulsa plastik dan pupuk. Pendapatan yang didapatkan petani setiap musim tanamnya adalah sebesar Rp 12.718.622,63 per hektar usahatani sedangkan keuntungan yang didapatkan adalah sebesar Rp 9.044.931,73 per hektar usahatani dengan R/C senilai 1,55. Biaya total dari keseluruhan kegiatan usahatani per musim tanam mencakup biaya yang dibayarkan dan biaya yang diperhitungkan yaitu sebesar Rp 16.465.439 per hektar usahatani. Permasalahan pada usahatani bawang daun yang dilakukan oleh petani sampel yaitu dari berbagai faktor yaitu faktor iklim yang tidak menentu dengan curah hujan yang cukup tinggi, faktor harga yang tidak tetap, faktor budidaya yang tidak sesuai dengan buku ataupun panduan yang ada yang menyebabkan hasil produksi yang tidak maksimal, faktor kompetisi pemasaran, dan bantuan dari pemerintah setempat.
